There really was a beautiful swan in the vicinity....I waited and waited for it to cooperate with me and swim into the scene. Forget it. It just wanted to paddle around and behind that bush in the upper left part of the pond.

We had a late spring in Spokane, and when the weather finally warmed up late last month it went from cold to HOT in a few days. The snow pack in the mountains melted in a rush and Spokane River was magnificent!

Spokane has some pretty exciting events for sports fans. Last week the largest 3-on-3 pick-up basketball tournament in the world was held here - and it was hot! (The weather and the action!) Every street downtown was closed to traffic and sectioned off into small courts, and players of all ages came to play. It was great to see girls playing too (sorry, no photo), and really little kids with miniature hoops and balls. It was a good day!

I saw this beautiful work of art at an art festival in the park...it was quite large, (and too costly for this photographer!) I thought it was stunning - the colors changed as the sunlike moved through the leaves around it. I have no idea what the artist titled it; to me, it made me think of a solor sytem in the far reaches of space!

We had a wild thunderstorm last week; the sky turned many different colors as the storm raced through the area. This is the reflection in our oval mirror of the scene through the window.
